Our Mission

"The mission of SowGoodFoundation is to normalize doing good as a movement, particularly of the fortunate to the disenfranchised in neighboring communities."

Giving Principles

The principle of sowing and reaping is well understood in agricultural terms. In a similar sense, so too is the mantra of “sowing good and reaping a better future.” The idea of harvesting what that good deed would yield was not only compelling but also, seen as an antidote to the need to give daily rather than seasonally.

What We Sow

Consistent with its mission, the foundation has engaged a cadre of volunteers to visit and provide means of home necessities, communication, and food to people in care facilities who are in need of a companion to help stimulate and improve mental health as well as provide healthy comfort foods.

How We Reap

We organize and operate small markets with life essentials, produce, and household goods to name a few to community centers, churches, and senior homes within food desert communities. SowGoodFoundation also offers planning and training to sow and grow urban food gardens specifically soil testing, foodsafety, organic pest control (according to USDA standards) and seed pollination training to develop a community culture of safe food and good deeds.

“The new dawn blooms as we free it. For there is always light if only we are brave enough to see it – if only we are brave enough to be it.” - Amanda Gorman
